Relationship Banker

I always listen to my customers to find out what's important to them in a banking relationship.

Since Russell Huntley joined the Bank in April of 2010, he has not only won the respect and admiration of his co-workers, but he has also proven himself to be a banker who follows through and keeps his word when it comes to serving some of the Bank's largest commercial customers.

For the past several years, Russell served as a Cash Management and Sales Officer for the Bank, going out into the field to help our business banking customers take advantage of eDeposit, payroll direct deposit for their employees, credit card merchant services, and so much more.

In 2013, it came as no surprise that he was promoted to the position of Relationship Banker at CNB's Downtown Banking Center. Hampton Thames, Executive Vice President of Sales for Citizens National Bank, said, "Russell's promotion to the position of a Relationship Banker was a natural transition. He's a real people person and is always positive and upbeat."

He is also quite accomplished. Russell received both his Bachelor of Business Administration degree and his MBA from Mississippi State University and earned the rank of Eagle Scout earlier in life. Today, he continues to support his community as a member of the Young Professionals of Meridian and as a mentor with the Boys and Girls Club of East Mississippi. A member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, he also serves on the Parish Council and with the Knights of Columbus.

While Russell takes his job very seriously, he also likes to have fun! When we asked him what his greatest accomplishment is, he said, "Being able to eat 12 pancakes in one sitting as a 10-year-old ranks right up there with achieving my MBA."

As for his free time, Russell jokes that he likes to run, eat, and travel in no particular order. An avid runner, Russell didn't think twice about putting on high heels for the recent High Heel Dash in Meridian that helped raise money for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Campaign. During a recent Christmas Open House at the Bank, he was also glad to do his part and join the CNB Chorus as they entertained customers even though he says that he is "usually a shower kind of guy when it comes to singing."

As you can see, Russell is ready for almost any kind of challenge that you'd like to send his way. He describes himself as "approachable," and we couldn't agree more. He's a great listener, down to earth, and ready to help your business thrive.
