CNB Announces Downtown Banking Center Renovation
Citizens National Bank’s Downtown Banking Center and Corporate Office building is a focal point in the business district of Meridian, and some exciting plans have been unveiled for its future. The Bank will begin a major renovation project later this month, which will include a redesign of its 1st Floor Banking Center as well as certain areas of the 3rd and 4th floors.
As construction crews prepare the site, the 1st Floor area will be closed during the week of May 22. During this time, the Bank invites their customers to visit their other six locations in Meridian, where Bank employees are eager to serve their customer base. It’s important to note that customers will not be able to access their safe deposit boxes during the week that the Bank is closed, so they are encouraged to plan ahead and retrieve any items they might need.
When the Bank reopens on the Tuesday after the Memorial Day holiday, Bank Manager Kristi Tew and a team of CSRs and Personal Bankers will be available to continue serving the Bank’s customers throughout the renovation process. CNB’s Relationship Bankers, their assistants, and Dealer Relationship Officer Kym Parnell, who serve the business community, will be relocated to 2nd Floor of the Corporate Office, during this time period, so they will continue to be accessible to their customers. The 1st Floor renovation is expected to be completed by September.
Hampton Thames, President of Citizens National Bank, recently commented: “We look forward to providing our customers with a more modern facility that will feature a sleek new design. We have a tremendous following of loyal customers, and we want to provide them with a state-of-the art banking facility and more efficient service than ever before,” he added.
In addition to the comprehensive facelift on 1st Floor, the Bank is also expanding its Private Banking and Mortgage Division into a suite of offices that will encompass half of the 3rd Floor. The 3rd Floor already houses an extensive Wealth Management Division for the Bank. While the Bank’s total assets currently total $1.3 billion, the Wealth Management area of the Bank has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years – currently managing over $1 billion in assets under management. As the Bank prepares this suite of offices for its expansion efforts, several employees in the Mortgage and Private Banking Divisions will be relocated to the Bank’s North Meridian Banking Centre at 136 North Hills Street. These employees include Jeana Bennett, Gabby Ward, and Nan Watkins.
Over the next several months, the Bank’s Executive Administration area is also being redesigned, so several key bank officials are being relocated to the 3rd Floor of the Corporate Office, and these employees include Bank CEO Archie McDonnell, Bank President Hampton Thames, Meridian Regional President Neil Henry, Chief Sales Officer Bobby Maddox, and Senior Relationship Banker Michael Truelove.
“We sincerely appreciate the patience of our customers over the next several months, and we can’t wait to provide them with this new and improved facility. In the interim, we invite them to call our Customer Care Center at 601.693.1331 with any questions or concerns they might have during this time. They can also visit www.YourCNB.com/Meridian for a complete listing of our Meridian locations, including the operating hours of each branch,” Thames added.
