CNB Employees Achieve Compliance Certifications

Cortez Wilson, Compliance Analyst

Congratulations to Cortez Wilson, Compliance Analyst in CNB’s Compliance Department, and Houston Moore, Vice President/Internal Auditor in the Internal Audit Department, who recently achieved the designation of Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer (CCBCO) through the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA). Cortez and Houston completed a rigorous, full-week course that consisted of five tests that had to be passed to achieve the certification which covers the areas of regulatory compliance that a community bank Compliance Officer is ultimately responsible for daily. The certification will not only continue to add depth into both the Compliance and Internal Audit Departments’ knowledge, but will also be beneficial to the bank as a whole.

“I feel extremely privileged to have represented the Bank at Compliance School,” Cortez said. The wealth of knowledge and prestige that comes with the certification is most definitely an honor. I will utilize that same

Houston stated, “This certification will enable me to provide a higher level of service to the Bank in the midst of a constantly changing regulatory environment.”
