Kristi Tew, manager of Citizens National Bank’s Downtown Meridian Division, was surprised with the Bank’s “Citizens of Excellence” Award on Thursday, February 16, 2017.  This award is presented periodically to a bank manager who is carrying out the responsibilities of his or her position at a very high level.

A “Citizens of Excellence” honoree is someone who exemplifies strong leadership by example, follows the Bank’s processes, meets or exceeds sales objectives/goals, coaches to sales success, and holds his or her team accountable.  The manager also maintains superior operational efficiency.

During the ceremony, Archie McDonnell, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, said that he considered it a privilege to present Kristi with this honor.  “We expect our retail employees to follow the Bank’s processes with regard to both sales and operations, and Kristi does both,” he said.  “She proactively calls on the Bank’s customers, teaches financial literacy classes out in the community, and serves as a great resource for our Relationship Bankers, Personal Bankers, and Customer Service Representatives.”

Kristi joined the Bank in October 2014, and is a 1996 Cum Laude graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in Accounting.   In 1994, she received her Associate Degree from Meridian Community College and graduated with High Honors.  She is also a 1992 graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School, and finished third in her class.

Citizens National Bank is an independent, Mississippi-owned community bank, with assets in excess of $1.3 billion and manages over $970 million in its Wealth Management Division.  Headquartered in Meridian, the Bank has additional locations in Quitman, Philadelphia, Flowood, Ridgeland, Madison, Columbus, Kosciusko, Carthage, Macon, Hattiesburg, Laurel, Waynesboro, Southaven, and Olive Branch.
