South Region New Bank Managers
Andrea Hood has joined Citizens National Bank as Manager of the Hattiesburg Banking Centre, located at 4599 Hardy Street. Andrea comes to the Bank from Hancock Whitney Bank with 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. She most recently served as a Vice President and Manager of the Bank’s Highway 98 Financial Center in Hattiesburg.
Andrea has developed an extensive deposit and loan customer base that she has established over the years. Throughout her career at Hancock Whitney, she was a top performer with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals and customer expectations.

Her extensive experience and time in Hattiesburg, along with her desire to provide exceptional service to her customers, makes Andrea a great fit for our Bank. Her community involvement includes serving as Vice President for the Friends of the South Mississippi State Hospital in Purvis. This volunteer-based, nonprofit organization is dedicated to promoting the understanding of mental health and the needs of individuals with mental illness, improving the quality of life for patients, and providing recognition and support for employees.
She and her husband, Fred, have been married for 29 years and attend Venture Church in Wiggins. They have two daughters, one granddaughter, and another granddaughter due in December of this year.
Originally from Biloxi, Andrea is a graduate of Biloxi High School and Jeff Davis Community College.
Mallary Powell has joined Citizens National Bank as Manager of the West Hattiesburg Banking Centre on Highway 98. With 12 years of banking experience, Powell has in-depth experience in the financial services industry and holds several securities licenses. In addition, she is a licensed annuity specialist, as well as a licensed mortgage loan originator.
She comes to the Bank from Hancock Whitney, where she began her career as a bank teller and advanced to such positions as the Operations Manager for the Bank’s location in Petal, later to the position of a Financial Services Specialist, and most recently to the position of an Associate Financial Advisor. During the early days of her career at Hancock Whitney, she was also inducted into the Teller Hall of Fame.
“Mallary is a great addition to our Bank,” Brewer said. “Her experience, combined with her desire to develop and expand customer relationships and provide great service to her customers, makes her a great fit for Citizens National Bank and our culture,” he added.
Her education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of Southern Mississippi. She and her husband, Greg, have been married for eight years and have a daughter, Harper, who is turning four years old in a couple of weeks.
In regard to her community involvement, she enjoys volunteering periodically with Kids Hub Child Advocacy Center in Hattiesburg.
