Jessica Anderson Achieves Certification

Jessica Anderson, CNB’s Human Resource Manager, recently achieved the designation of a Certified Professional through the Society of Human Resource Management. This designation ensures that a Human Resources professional possesses the relevant knowledge that is required for today’s workplace and also tests the individual’s ability to put their in-depth knowledge in practice through critical thinking and application.

Jessica joined the Bank in August 2010 in its officer trainee program. Throughout her career at the Bank, she has held various positions including Risk Management Officer, Executive Assistant to the President and CEO, and Payroll/Benefits Manager. Since December 2015, she has served as the Human Resource Manager. In her current role, Jessica oversees our Payroll and Employee Relations functions. She works with both employees and managers on employment issues, coaching, progressive discipline, retention, and employee engagement.

Jessica earned a Bachelor and Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from MSU Meridian. She is also a 2011 graduate of the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation’s Leadership Lauderdale program.

She and her husband, Drew, are proud parents of a 6 year old son, Lane, and a 2 year old daughter, Layken, and their family attends Central United Methodist Church.

While achieving this certification involved many months of preparation, Jessica said that Bible verses such as Proverbs 16:3, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed” have been a source of guidance and support for her.
