Manage Your Debit Card Through Online Banking
Card Control gives you secure, convenient tools to manage your debit card directly from your Online Banking account.
Freeze or unfreeze your debit card instantly.
- Turning your card off blocks all new transactions (recurring payments still process).
- Turn it on when you’re ready to resume use.
- Global Controls
Spending limits work based on how merchants submit authorization requests. Some transactions may exceed the limit if merchants do not transmit the purchase amount at the time of authorization or if the transaction is processed offline. Transactions that fall outside standard authorization flows may not be restricted.
Set a transaction‑wide spending limit — any purchase above your selected amount will be declined. - Merchant Category Controls
Merchant category blocking relies on merchant-assigned category codes. These codes are determined by the merchant's payment processor, not by the bank, and may not always reflect the actual goods or services sold. As a result, some transactions may not be blocked as expected if coded under a different category.
Allow or block entire merchant categories such as groceries, gas, travel, restaurants, entertainment, and more. - Payment Category Controls
Payment type controls depend on the information provided by the merchant. If a merchant does not transmit sufficient transaction details or submits the transaction using an unexpected method, the control may not apply. Some ATM, contactless, or cardpresent transactions may process differently depending on network behavior.
Set spending limits or disable specific payment methods, such as ATM withdrawals, online purchases, mobile wallets, or contactless transactions.

*Card Control features may be unavailable during scheduled maintenance or unexpected service interruptions. Availability and functionality may vary based on device type, operating system, and network connection. Some features may function differently across desktop, iOS and Android devices.
*Card Control features enhance security, but do not replace the bank’s fraud monitoring systems or the customer’s responsibility to monitor account activity. Customers should report unauthorized transactions promptly as required under regulatory guidelines.
