John Northam Promoted

Based in the downtown Meridian main office, Northam now manages the Relationship Bankers who offer a full portfolio of financial products and the unrivaled personal service of Mississippi’s community bank to commercial loan and deposit customers across the bank’s Meridian Region.
His leadership responsibilities include coaching Relationship Bankers, assisting with loan structuring and credit decisions, supporting problem loan resolution, and driving new business development. Northam also leads efforts to hire, develop, and maintain a high-performing, community-oriented commercial sales team.
“John’s promotion reflects his unwavering commitment to our customers and our community,” said Thames. “His journey through multiple roles — from Staff Accountant to Credit Analyst Manager to Relationship Banker — demonstrates the depth of his experience and the strength of his character. We are proud to have him leading our commercial sales team.”
Neil Henry, Regional President for the Meridian Region, added:“John Northam exemplifies leadership and integrity. His ability to build strong relationships with our customers and ensure they are well taken care of is second to none. He brings stability, vision, and a deep understanding of what it means to serve locally. That is what we refer to as The Power of Local.”
Northam joined Citizens National Bank in December 2009 and has held several key roles that have contributed to his well-rounded banking expertise. His promotion underscores the bank’s commitment to recognizing and advancing talent that embodies its mission and values.
Citizens National Bank congratulates Northam and looks forward to his continued positive impact in the Meridian Region.
