Scott Sills Promoted

In his new role, Sills will lead the bank’s Retail Sales and Operations, shaping strategy and elevating the customer experience. He will continue to oversee Marketing, Treasury Management, and Community Development, ensuring that CNB remains responsive to the needs of underserved markets.
A seasoned leader, Sills has served as Chief Marketing Officer since 2011. He joined Citizens National Bank in 1991 as a management trainee, quickly advancing to Branch Manager in Waynesboro. His career has spanned leadership roles in Meridian, Hattiesburg, and Columbus, culminating in his tenure as North Mississippi Regional President from 2006 to 2011.
Citizens National Bank is one of a select group of U.S. banks certified as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the U.S. Treasury Department. Sills leads CNB’s CDFI initiatives, which focus on affordable housing, small business lending, and consumer financial services—key pillars of the bank’s mission to foster economic growth and financial inclusion across Mississippi.

Beyond his professional achievements, Sills is deeply engaged in civic and faith-based service. He serves as President of the Choctaw Area Council Scouting America Board of Directors and Chairman of the Deacons at First Baptist Church in Meridian. His past leadership includes roles as President of the Kiwanis Club of Waynesboro, President of The Hattiesburg Exchange Club, Chairman of the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce, and Board Member of the Area Development Partnership in Hattiesburg. He also served as a deacon at Fairview Baptist Church in Columbus.
