Meridian Team Update


Debbie Tomerlin was recently promoted to Senior Relationship Banking Group Assistant at CNB’s Downtown Banking Center. With 25 years of banking experience, Debbie has been a member of the CNB Family since 2018 and recently received her certificate for completing CNB’s Leadership Training program. Debbie began her career in 1998 at Trustmark Bank as a teller, was promoted to the position of a head teller and later to the position of a Financial Services Representative during her career at Trustmark. Debbie enjoys volunteering with fundraising events for Ducks Unlimited, and also recently joined the local organization known as 100 Women Who Care. She and her husband, David Tomerlin, have been married 39 years and have a son Bryan, a daughter, Amanda, and four grandchildren. Neil Henry, CNB’s Meridian Regional President, recently commented on Debbie’s promotion as follows: “We’re so glad that Debbie recently celebrated her five-year anniversary of joining the CNB team. She works extremely hard and has a great understanding of the relationship banking area. It’s easy to see Debbie’s passion for working at our Bank as she loves interacting with her co-workers, our customers, and her job. She also takes pride in her work and communicates at a very high level. We’re blessed to have her on our team and in a leadership role as Senior RBGA. Haley Scott was recently promoted to the position of Assistant Bank Manager at CNB’s Downtown Meridian Banking Center. Haley joined the CNB Family in May 2022 as a Personal Banker and has prior experience as a CSR at BankPlus in Clinton, Miss. A 2017 graduate of Pelahatchie High School, Haley received her Associates degree from East Central Community College and her Bachelors of Science degree in General Kinesiology from Mississippi College in May 2021. Neil Henry, CNB’s Meridian Regional President, recently commented as follows: “Haley brings a high level of service and professionalism to our customers and employees and has been a great addition to our Downtown Banking Center. She understands the NGAGE process very well and is always looking for new opportunities to help our customers to achieve their financial dreams. I look forward to Haley’s continued growth as Assistant Bank Manager,” he added. She and her husband Kenneth were married in April 2023 and are expecting a baby boy in May 2024. Active in the community, Haley is a Provisional Member of the Junior Auxiliary of Meridian and also enjoys teaching financial literacy classes for CNB in the community as well as volunteering with the Camp Hoops and TopSoccer programs. Congratulations, Debbie and Haley on these well-deserved promotions!
